Building social presence around an often overlooked smart home device is not easy. The Century Outlet Timer is a digital outlet timer designed to help people save time, money, and energy. Because the product looks complicated to use at first glance, we needed to create content that people could easily engage with and understand its benefits. 

We connected with the right audience on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter by sucessfully launching Social Activation campaigns and encouraging user-generated content. We created clickable, sharable content showing the product in minimalist environments, being used on ordinary appliances and lights to highlight its simplicity and everyday use. By also showing beautiful interiors and lighting setups, we gave our audience creative ideas and solutions in maximizing the use of the product. The results were reflected in the number of retweets, shares, comments, likes and views.
